Learn Traditional Sri Lankan Dancing

This morning the group will visit a Traditional Kandyan Dancing Village amidst the scenic hills of Kandy. The group will explore this unique village which has produced generations of professional Kandyan Dancers. The ‘Belwood Aesthetic center’ is a colonial Tea Factory which now converted to a training center for hundreds of young upcoming dancers and musicians.  A traditional Kandyan Dancing Guru will teach you the basic steps of the dance to the beat of the local drums. The group will be able to experience how the traditional Kandyan Dancing steps begin with lots of stretching and bending and artistic hand movements which will of course be an excellent exercise this morning. Young students will also dance with you side by side who are already showing the signs of maestros.
