Franciscan Convent Preserves & Wine

The missionaries and sisterhoods of the various doctrines of the Christian church followed the British as they carved out a beautiful city of Nuwara Eliya. Among the first church’s ever nuilt in the area is the secluded Anne Xavier Franciscan church. You have the opportunity to go meet the secluded Franciscan Sisters at the convent and join them in the process as they produce Pineapple, Strawberry and King Coconut wines and different types of preservatives with produce from their gardens. These sisters live life servitude and the proceeds are gone towards the upkeep of the convent which looks after the underprivileged.
