Cooking experience at Villa Sarakkuwa

A family owned Villa in Pamunugaman, North of Sri Lanka offers an interesting activity to experience on a visit to Sri Lanka is cooking a typical local meal at the Lagoon kitchen,where Dilmani, Sri Lankan mom and hostess, will share her knowledge on the art of Sri Lankan home-cooking. You will be familiarized with the components of a typical Sri Lankan meal, how to balance various flavours, colours, and textures of local ingredients, and how to bring out their best features, using different cooking methods. You will also learn about blending various spices and herbs to create the unique taste of Sri Lankan cuisine.

Lagoon Kitchen will provide;

Ingredients and cooking facilities at Villa Sarakkuwa, Pamunugama , near the Negombo Lagoon

Demonstration with recipe sheets for 3 dishes (preferred dishes could be selected by you, by prior arrangement)

Dinner service, the dishes you cook and a few pre-made accompaniments

Free use of the premises to relax in the cool verandah and tropical garden or even enjoy a dip in the pool
